Ways these Denver Broncos together with the malleable quarterback can halt that Kansas City Chiefs' reign.

NFL 2025 season: Week six
Real-time updates includes live text for Sunday's games via various channels, starting with Denver Broncos v New York Jets in London (from 14:00 BST). Also, radio commentary can be heard through designated networks covering a separate game (beginning at 9 PM BST).
We're in the sixth week in the football calendar , following last week's talk regarding two top teams as a potential Super Bowl match-up, each surrendered their perfect starts.
Striking in those games were the amount of penalties both committed. Philadelphia did so in key moments so they essentially defeated themselves after leading 17-3 entering the fourth period versus Denver, set to play in London this weekend.
However it was good to see how Denver's QB Bo Nix managed to have that deficit and then direct three successful possessions on three possessions in the fourth quarter, securing the victory 21-17.
The Broncos boast the top defender in CB their star corner. They rank number one in goal-line defense, while the Eagles are number one in red zone offence, yet the Broncos won that battle.
They executed the Eagles' number in terms of simulated pressure. They did not always rushing extra pass rushers instead they could position two linebackers in the 'A' gap before withdrawing them and dispatch a slot defender off the edge.
Early on in the campaign, it was noted on a program how the Broncos could be the current year's surprise contenders. They finished last season strongly then excelled of building upon that.
Could Denver be this season's dark horses?
Recently acquired tight end their tight end has excelled big while new RB their rusher is a player they believe in. He now ranks fifth in the NFL for rushing yards (over 400) as well as tied-fourth for rushing touchdowns (four).
I love how the coach Sean Payton displays "RUN IT!" prominently on his call sheet.
That shows that Denver represent a squad aiming to prioritize the run, since one can do a lot based on that approach. It reduces down the pass rush and keeps you in favourable down and distances.
It's also helped QB the young passer, who came into the league as a first-round selection last year, passing for 29 touchdown passes – second only to a star QB in rookie records (31 in 2020).
Other elite QBs possess the arm strength to throw anywhere, however they lack in the same way that Nix has. He has exceptional arm talent, which is different, and he is so athletic.
His assets are his mobility, the capacity to pass on the run, and using varied release points to deliver the pass as he moves out of the pocket, the bootlegs. He can throw precision throws across the middle and over the corner.
For a young quarterback, aged 25, he displays great poise in the pocket and isn't bothered by extra rushers. He aims to evade a sack whenever possible and can pass in tight spots. He has sharp intelligence and is very decisive.
If you constantly run the ball it eats up time and forces the opponent to stay in play extended periods, and if you have an athletic quarterback the defense must cover the field vertically side to side. This proves exhausting.
Nix has pushed back with the coach during games at times and it seems Payton appreciates that fire, seeing him as such a competitor. I think it's exciting for him to have a young quarterback that is similar to moldable clay. He can truly build something up the way he wants to build it. I believe it's a unique opportunity for the coach.
The head coach owns a championship and has passed a legend for career NFL wins (173 - tied 14th overall). He has witnessed everything. I think the success the Broncos are having offensively is largely down to his guidance, his play-calling, his game sense – and the combination with the QB aids shape him what he is.
There's no better a better guy in your ear, to assist you through difficult moments and boost confidence.
I have faith in Denver's defence, in the QB's grit and calm. Yet is the team strong enough to go against a top squad at full strength? Because that wasn't a Super Bowl performance by the Eagles in their last game.
Right now, I don't think the Broncos are elite. They're working better than most, that's a solid position to be in their division. The key is is maintain this trajectory.
They excel at embracing their strength, that is the ground game, and this is exactly what they should do against the Jets in London. It will likely be the JK Dobbins show, in essence.
The Jets have allowed 140 yards on the ground each contest (among the worst), five rushing touchdowns this season (in the bottom ten), and they are the sole squad without a win a game.
Ever since the NFL started recording turnovers in 1933, this team are the inaugural squad to go without any turnovers in five outings, this is surprising considering that their new coach was previously a defensive coach at the Detroit Lions.
Patrick Mahomes stated Kansas City are off to a poor start after a recent loss to Jacksonville.
Following this Sunday's game, Denver have a manageable slate until their break (in week twelve) - the New York Giants, Dallas Cowboys, the Texans plus Las Vegas Raiders before the Chiefs.
In the AFC West, the Chiefs are 2-3 and the Broncos are even with the Chargers at 3-2 so they could make a run for the top of the division.
This hinges upon what version of the Chiefs they meet since the Broncos {beat|def
