Netflix Chooses Perfect Performer for Mr. 2 in One Piece Third Season

The Secret Organization is poised to exert significant influence in the next installment of Netflix’s show of One Piece, although the true confrontation isn’t set to occur until season 3, and a beloved, fan-favorite member has recently been selected.

Netflix announced recently that the skilled actor is now part of the One Piece upcoming season’s lineup and will play Bon Clay. Bon Clay has the ability to morph into an exact copy of anyone they’ve made contact with with their right hand. The actor, who is gender non-conforming and uses they/them pronouns, will portray a rendition of that figure reinterpreted as non-binary, rather than as a drag artist, in the live-action show, unlike the original manga and animated series.

The new cast member will work alongside a number of recently announced actors who will portray Baroque Works to the screen, including leader the main antagonist, portrayed by the well-known actor, Sophia Anne Caruso as Miss Goldenweek, and an accomplished actor, who will appear as the lineup as King Nefertari Cobra of the desert kingdom.

Although the role is a important part of the group, the individual won’t make their debut One Piece season 3. With the next season set to cover the Little Garden segment, this signals a notable change in the placement of the character’s debut, one that could suggest further changes to the narrative framework.

Escola’s blend of excellent comedic sense and profound feeling makes them a standout choice for the role. Along with their latest vocal work in the animated coming-of-age film Boys Go to Jupiter, they garnered significant recognition and several accolades for creating and performing in the successful stage production Oh Mary!, showcasing the versatility they’ll contribute to one of One Piece’s highly regarded figures.

The streaming service’s real-life One Piece series is due to premiere for its season two on the tenth of March, 2026.
