Throughout the evening, Russian aerial assaults have led to power cuts in large parts of Ukraine's capital, Kyiv.
A number of civilians were injured while local people in the city's east were experienced blackouts and encountered disruption to water supplies, per reports from municipal leaders.
At the same time, a young boy was fatally injured in a different assault in the southeastern region in the southern area, based on information from regional authorities.
Russian forces has intensified attacks on power infrastructure over the past few days, while officials has requested "real steps" from international partners to exert influence on Moscow.
"What's needed is not superficial actions but strong steps - from the America, Europe and the Group of Seven - in providing protection systems and implementing restrictions," mentioned in a public message.
He said that hundreds of unmanned aircraft and more than 30 projectiles targeted Ukraine's energy infrastructure, characterizing such assaults as "cynical and calculated" and against "everything that sustains normal life" as winter approaches.
Energy officials said Moscow was "inflicting a massive strike" and maintenance teams were working to restore power.
A series of attacks hit power facilities and residential structures in Kyiv.
Multiple people injured in the strikes on the capital have been taken to hospital, per statements from municipal representatives.
Local officials said the urban area experienced heavy assaults overnight. A minor was killed and multiple civilians were hurt.
The assaults succeed nights of bombing campaigns in the region, portions of which remain under the control of Russian forces.
The entire country is in a state of readiness for advanced weapon attacks, which are tougher to identify.
Authorities told reporters that Russia was intentionally trying to demolish the country's energy grid, with strikes already affecting energy systems.
Authorities confirmed technical personnel and officials were preparing for further attacks.
